Tamandua Labs

Services

Tamandua Labs helps engineering teams and businesses build, modernize, and lead technology with confidence. Below are the core areas where I partner with clients.

Cloud Architecture & AWS

Designing serverless and cloud-native architectures that scale reliably while keeping costs under control. As an AWS Certified Solutions Architect, I design for cost-efficiency and resilience — right-sizing, serverless migration, and smarter use of managed services, without sacrificing performance or reliability.

Typical work: serverless design, cost optimization, infrastructure-as-code, and well-architected reviews. Tools: AWS, AWS CDK, Serverless, Docker, CI/CD, event-driven architecture.

AI/ML Integration

Bringing practical AI/ML capabilities — from NLP pipelines to deep learning and predictive models — into existing production systems. Backed by graduate-level coursework in NLP and Deep Learning at Georgia Tech, I help teams move models from prototype to shipped feature, working closely with data science and engineering.

Typical work: integrating ML models into live products, building automated analysis tooling, and NLP pipelines. Tools: Python, Pandas, NumPy, deep learning frameworks, AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore.

Legacy Modernization

Migrating monolithic applications to service-oriented and event-driven architectures with minimal disruption to the business. I focus on incremental, low-risk paths to modernization — identifying seams in legacy systems, extracting services safely, and setting teams up for faster, safer releases.

Typical work: monolith decomposition, async/message-driven refactors, containerization, and CI/CD. Tools: RabbitMQ, Docker, microservices, RESTful APIs, DDD.

Technical Leadership & Team Augmentation

Mentorship, staff augmentation, and engineering process improvement for teams that need an experienced hand. Whether embedded as a technical lead or advising from the side, I help teams sharpen their practices, ship more predictably, and grow stronger individually and collectively.

Typical work: technical leadership, mentoring, code review, and engineering-process improvement. Tools: TDD, DDD, design patterns, requirements engineering, stakeholder management.

How I work

Engagements are structured to reduce risk and deliver value early:

  1. Discovery — understand your goals, constraints, and current systems.
  2. Architecture & plan — a clear, prioritized roadmap with concrete milestones.
  3. Implementation — hands-on delivery, or embedded alongside your team.
  4. Handoff — documentation and knowledge transfer so your team owns it confidently.

Engagements are remote, B2B, and flexible, from short advisory sprints to longer embedded work.
